UPDATE: This site for the last year has focused on house and kitchenwares, but it now focuses mostly on cookware, gardening equipment, food-themed toys, and feeding supplies for kids. I have left the original Q and A below for historical reference.
The Special Magic Kitchen site will eventually be redesigned and will continue on as a blog, but I will introduce another website in the spring of 2011 dedicated to all things food and children.
I am a father of one girl and expecting another baby girl in early 2011. I am a serious foodie and have an addiction to Japanese cutlery — among other things.

Q: Why is this site called Special Magic Kitchen?
A: While living in Kosovo there was a little corner grocery store that had an unbelievably good selection of food items for a post-war area. One could go in there and find gourmet food items, exotic vegetables, and a myriad of other hard-to-find items. After a while people began to refer to it as the “Special Magic Store” because one could always find good things there. And that is what Special Magic Kitchen strives to do: Help you find those great items for the kitchen.
Q: Is Special Magic Kitchen just a blog?
A: Sort of for the time being. This is a semi-commercial site showcasing kitchenware, food and home items and we do use advertising affiliates. At the present time we do not sell anything directly. With that said, Special Magic Kitchen is the dba (doing business as) assumed name as part of Special Magic Brands, LLC. In the future we will expand our services and start offering products for the home and kitchen.
Q: Why do you use advertising?
A: It covers the cost of hosting, my time and other expenses to bring this website to you. If you do find the site useful and want to buy some of the products listed in my reviews, please click through using the link, and I will get a small percentage of each sale. But it is up to you, and not all links give me a commission. In fact many links are simply direct links to sites and products, and I get no compensation. I try to indicate if I promote a product directly that is an affiliate and all Amazon links are linked to my affiliate status.
Q: Do you collect information on me when I visit your site?
A: I do not collect information on you or store your information, but when I add a link from Amazon or another advertiser they will add cookies. This happens whenever you visit any online retail site, and it is no different on this site.
Q: Can I be a contributer to this site?
A: Yes, you can. Just send me your contact information and a message using the contact form and we can determine if your content is a good ‘fit’ for this site.
