  • 12 open elderflowers collected in sunny weather
  • 4.5 litres of water
  • 700 g sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of cider or wine vinegar



  • Bring the water to a boil.
  • Put the sugar in a clean container, add boiling water and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  • Wait until the water has cooled. Then add lemon juice, elderflower and apple cider (or wine vinegar).
  • Cover the container and let the drink infuse for 24 hours.
  • Strain the resulting mixture and leave for another 14 days.
  • Serve the lemonade chilled, you can add ice cubes to it.
