Chinese Sausage and Mushroom Sticky Rice
Directions
- In large pot add stock, rice, salt and ginger. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low simmer. Stir occasionally so that the rice doesn’t clump or stick at the bottom.
- Simmer the congee for about 1 hour or until the congee is thickened and creamy.
- While the rice is simmering, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add Kam Yen Jan Chinese Sausage and cook for about 2 minutes or until the sausage begins to release its fat. Gently stir in the mushrooms and soy sauce. Cook for about 2 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Remove from heat.
- When the rice is finished, stir in the mushroom and sausage mixture.
- Add salt to taste and green onions. Serve the Kam Yen Jan Chinese Sausage and Mushroom Sticky Rice hot!

- 1 C. long-grain white rice, rinsed
- 7 C. chicken stock
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 inch knob of ginger, peeled and sliced thin
- 3 Kam Yen Jan Chinese Sausages, sliced thin
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Mushroom and Sausage Egg Noodle Stir-Fry
Directions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook noodles according to the package’s directions.
- In a bowl, beat eggs with mirin and chicken bouillon powder. Set aside.
- Over high heat, cook Kam Yen Jan Chinese Sausage until glistening and slightly browned at the edges, about three minutes. Add the mushrooms and continue cooking on medium-high heat until mushrooms have softened, about 3 minutes. Add dark soy sauce and cook for an additional minute. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add olive oil, onions, garlic, and ginger to the pan and cook until onions are softened, stirring often.
- Drain the pasta – don’t rinse! Add to the pan and toss for a couple of minutes to make sure pasta is heated through.
- Remove pan from heat and add egg mixture to pasta slowly while stirring constantly. Toss with sausage and mushrooms.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy!
